Griffith College Limerick (GCL) accountancy student Jitka Pechancova has placed first in the world and first in Ireland in her recent Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) examinations. Jitka achieved this accolade for her performance in the Foundations in Financial Management (FFM) exam, placing first ahead of almost 2,600 other students who completed the exam worldwide. She also placed first in Ireland for her results in the Foundations in Taxation (FTX) exam.
GCL students Laura McDonnell from Dooradoyle and Catherine Maher from Kilmallock, Co. Limerick also received worldwide placings in their ACCA exams. Laura placed 2nd in Ireland and 8th in the world in the FFM exam and Catherine achieved 3rd place in Ireland and 10th in the world in the FTX exam.
