The Higher Certificate in Computing is a two year full-time/part-time programme that prepares you for a wide range of software development opportunities in both Irish and multinational companies.
The course, spread over four semesters, covers the full range of both software and hardware topics, highly relevant in todays growing IT industry. You will have an opportunity to use what you learn by developing software systems in individual and group-based learning situations.

Progression
On successful completion of this certificate students may progress to the third year of the level 7 BSc in Computing.
Careers
Students will be ideally positioned to succeed as part of a business software development team or in the management of IT departments. You will be able to select and apply appropriate techniques to specific development projects and identify a wide range of techniques for software development.
Steps For Undergraduate courses:
- Full time Applicants under 23 years of age should apply directly through the college or through CAO.
- Mature applicants for full time or part time and applicants under 23 years of age for part time should apply directly to Griffith College.
