Rooms
Computer facilities include two modern centrally networked computer
rooms with internet access, printers, wireless routers for use with
laptops and state-of-the-art software required for the various
Computing, Information Technology and Engineering courses that are
delivered at the College. Both computer rooms are equipped with ceiling
mounted high-beam projectors.
Engineering Labs
The Engineering Lab is equipped with electronic test equipment,
pneumatic boards and equipment and the various components required for
experiments and lab tests that are an integral part of our engineering
programmes. Software simulation packages are also available on computers
in the Lab and Computer Rooms.
Teaching Facilities
Teaching facilities comprise eight comfortable lecture halls with
ceiling mounted overhead projectors.

Research and Study Facilities
A library facility is available for hardcopy reading materials.
On-line resources are available to students and lecturers through our Moodle
intranet system. Various library websites for specific research as
well as access to the certifying bodies websites are also available.
A quiet area beside the library for study is available to students.
Students may also use lecture rooms for study and computer rooms for
research outside of scheduled lecture times.
Recreation Facilities
A recreation room is available to students to meet and relax. Tea,
coffee and soft drinks vending machines provide light snacks. Many shops
and restaurants cater for students in the immediate vicinity of the
College
Accessibility and Safety
The building is accessible to disabled persons and complies with all
planning and fire regulations.
Other
A high standard of academic and pastoral care for students are
features of the College's ethos.
GCL is located in Limerick city centre where many restaurants, cafes, shops,
bars and other student facilities are available for students. Most
religions are catered for in the city.
The Hunt Museum is within walking distance where students can peruse
historical artefacts
A number of art galleries and theatres are close-by Assistance with
professional course based work placement and casual employment is
available through the college.
For international students the college provides assistance with visa
extensions, opening bank accounts, medical insurance, accommodation,
travel etc.
