A unique feature of the FETAC Special Needs Assisting programme is the work experience component.  The programme modules are complemented and consolidated through practical experience arranged in organisations under experienced and qualified professionals.

This course is ideal for those working in education or childcare who wish to gain an understanding and appreciation of the issues and approaches associated with Special Needs Assisting.

This is a component of the Childcare (FETAC Level 5). Graduates can progress to complete the full Childcare award (offered both full time and part time) or can progress to the FETAC Level 5 Applied Social Studies.
